Ecuador in the middle of the world
The capital is Quito and the two major cities that follow it are Guayaquil and Cuenca.
It has a population of 18 million people. Its official language is Spanish and the vast majority of existing indigenous groups speak Quechua.

This region extends along the Andes mountain range. Its majestic valleys, volcanoes, snowcapped mountains and rivers can be seen from north to south. Its climate changes from area to area depending on its altitude and therefore the vegetation located in this area is also varied. You can find some very biodiverse places here that are ideal for bird watching and many adventure travel activities.
This region consists of the plains and lowlands up to an altitude of 500 meters. Its climate is humid and tropical. There is a great variety of vegetation and animals. Its long and ample beaches in addition to the production of their land and its tourism characterize this area.
This region consists of several hills that originate in the Andes Mountains and reach the Amazon plains. It extends between abundant vegetation unique to the tropical rain forest. The climate is hot and humid. It is one of the places where the greatest biodiversity in Ecuador is found with the presence of the Yasuní National Park. Tourism is the second most important economic activity of this region.
It is located in the Pacific Ocean, 1000 km from the continental coast of Ecuador following the equator and 1600 km southwest of the Panama Canal. The main islands are: Santa Cruz, San Cristobal and Isabela. The archipelago is of volcanic origin, with several active volcanoes existing until today. It has a rough surface with cracks, depressions, elevations and steep drops, with abundant presence of volcanic rock. Its climate varies, similar to that of the continental mountain range.
